Instrument Review Finds No Fault

The Trajectory Office has concluded its review of the charting instruments here at Lodestar Station. The instruments are sound. They are charting the Slow Choir now, and it remains on course.

The review has not said why the Slow Choir was charted late. The Office considers the matter closed.

On Havenmere, the Slow Choir can now be seen. On the night side, a band of sky shows no stars. It is wider each night. The night-sound is now heard in daylight, and the clocks lose close to an hour a day.

Evacuees continue to arrive on Highfold, the farming world that has received most of them. Registrars report that many came with very little. Most brought photographs.

Havenmere has six days.

The course is charted. Mind the dark between.
